CHP Units (Combined Heat and Power)

What is a CHP Unit?

A C.H.P unit is a piece of equipment that provides both heat and electricity (usually at the ratio of 2:1/3:1 Heat to Electricity) from the fuel.

C.H.P stands for “Combined Heat and Power” and in the realms of the renewable energy industry that means that we are burning /gasifying carbon neutral Biomass (wood) to produce both heat for drying floors or commercial heating systems and power in the form of electricity through an engine and generator.
