Is there a market for second hand boilers?
Yes! Commercial boilers with RHI are a great asset. The RHI can be transferred with the boiler, providing a fantastic opportunity that benefits both seller and buyer:

The Seller: If you have a boiler with RHI remaining, then you’re in a position to recoup some of the cost of your biomass system by selling the boiler with the RHI tariff. We can help match sellers and buyers for a complete service.

Decommissioning & Transport: We safely manage the expert removal and transportation of the used system.
Installation & Recommissioning: We install and commission the boiler at the new site, ensuring immediate, optimal performance.
RHI Paperwork & Transfer: We complete all required RHI paperwork to transfer ownership of the system and the RHI account to the new owner.

Important Considerations
Commercial RHI Focus: Our service focuses primarily on commercial systems currently receiving RHI payments – as there is highest benefit to both seller and buyer.
Limited Domestic Second-Hand Market: There is currently a limited market for second-hand domestic boilers or any systems without existing RHI accreditation. We generally recommend that owners list these locally, but we can help with decommissioning, and installing alternative systems.
